Functional Requirement
Need to create an EPM universe that we will use to create spaces in the SAP Explorer tool.
12-11-2014 - Email from Mark Grzechowiak - NEC Requested us to develop the below required universe:
1. This Universe should be similar to the EPM queries that had been created previously and be able to display data by Region and Sales Org for the current and previous year as well as use the same logic to group and summarize values at the lowest level (i.e. Top 10 Customers individually and the rest grouped together as “Others:”). Please find the required fields below:
Measures: Shipped, Open, Total (Shipped + Open), Budget, Quantity, Contribution.
Dimensions: Region, Sales Org, Product Hierarchy Level 1, Customer Segment, Customer, License, Silhouette.
2. Due to restrictions in Explorer, we would also like to get an idea of how many cells this Universe will produce (rows * columns). Please provide this information as early in development as possible so that we are able to determine if any changes to design will be required.
12-17-2014 - Email from Mark Harris - NEC Requested us to make the following changes in the EPM universe:
1. You should be connecting from BI Dev to BPP so we can have real data to review.
2. The actuals data for shipped and open should be coming from the COPA Open Contract multiprovider.
3. The plan should be coming from the BPC data.
4. The level of detail should be consolidated as it is in BPC.
5. I’ve attached a document with some more details. Please let me know if you have any questions about this. I would also like to know when you think you can get this universe created.
6. I think it would help if you looked at the BEX query we have in analysis VBPC_MP_Q001. That is a data set very like what I am looking for.
I’m not sure if I gave you a name before, but if I gave you the ZBPC one VZBPC_Q001. That’s NOT the one to use.
